I was digging around and noticed the eVGA 6800 GS is on sale for $199 at Mwave.

eVGA 6800 GS

Shipping is around $8 depending on where you are. This is the best price I've seen anywhere so far.

I got $10 free from mwave the other week. Said something about how if I would update my account, I'll get $10 for free.

Would work great with this deal :)

Wish I could afford this right now. But on a similar note, are there any pos video cards that come to mind that I could get for $50? Can you play any video games with them? (say, cs: source? wow?)

You need PCI Express? The only ones around $50 are the X300 and 6200. They'd be ok in games if you run low detail and 800x600. You could try unlocking pipes on a 6200 too.

For the CA folks, Monarch has the same 6800GS for $208 + $6 shipping.

I recently got from an eBay seller a new 6600 for $55 and a new 6800 (with video out/in and TV tuner) for only $110. Now with two of the 6800 you can have a cheap, good, SLI setup... You also get two tunners for recording two TV channels at once!!!

Its decently priced. Its the exact same price at the 'Egg, but it has $4 shipping.

edit: Oh btw, does eVGA's warranty with this card cover overclocking like I've heard? If so then I'll be getting this model instead of the XFX or Leadtek (which have 485/1100).

Everything I've read says not to waste your money buying two cards and doing SLI, unless you have money to burn and are buying the best cards available. You get better performance from a single better card at the same or lower cost. So I wouldn't buy 2 6800 gs and run in SLI right now, I'd buy one 7800 instead. Just my humble opinion, and that of the reviewers at Anandtech.

The 1 7800GT would be a litle better, but not much. It does save you 100 though. I got a 6800GS from Monarch yesterday, and spent 212. Its the best card for the money, highly recommended, and beats any card until the 300 dollar 7800GT.
