6800 Go Results

That's what I was going to ask. 😛

I'd love to have a powerful laptop with one of these in it, but the impact on battery life may not make it worth it....

No, but the laptops using the mobile X800xxxxxx sure do.
Just kidding. I don't know. Just countering your "Right out of the box negative attitude" about it.

Very Nice results OP. Finally, a laptop that really kixorz izzass.

What's better is the NV41M is modular, which means I can take it out, and put something else in there (say, a better MXM 6800, or an x800, if I so desire), so the possibilities, and performance is only limited by what's available in a modular format.

If there weren't, I'd be hard pressed to have benchmarks, wouldn't you think? 😉

Sager, Eurocom, Alienware, to name a few, are manufacturing laptops with the NV41M.

Sorry, I was under the impression that these were just benchmarks you pulled off a website.

I need sleep. :moon::clock:

wow thats AWESOME for a lappy...i can't hardly belive that. MY rig only gets about 5200 in 3dmark 2005, you make me feel slow 🙁

None of the above, actually. I have a custom builder that I use. They're all off the same chassis, it's just a matter of how much they charge for them.

Is it a 12 pipe / 5 pixel shader or a 16 pipe / 6 vertex shader card?

NV41 seems to imply it's 12/5, but there's no real reason to disable the features when you don't have a 6800GT mobile - may as well let the 6800 do all it can do.

12/5, and it's only the GDDR1 version (clocked stock at 250/600). I'm lobbying to get it swapped out with the GDDR3 version (350/1GHz), which performs better than the x800 in benchmarks. I'll blow my current scores out of the water if I'm successful. 🙂

Now I need to start looking for a 6800 Ultra instead...oi...damn releases and not letting me know beforehand ><

Wow, a laptop with a 6800-series in it? That's pretty killer.

That gives me an idea.. I'm truely surprised that no-one has come out with a laptop specifically for trade-show presentation usage, with an integrated Matrox Parhelia part, the one with three video outputs. That would be a fairly killer solution, for driving some of those "triple video wall" displays that I've seen set up at trade shows. Sure, it would be a niche product, and would cost a bit more, but for that target market, I bet some company could make a bundle of money on that. (If someone does, you can just PM me my royalty check here on AT, ok?)
