now my card says it is a 6800 ultra in windows after using riva tuner, is there any way of testing the unlock/overclock for pixels? shaders? I am new to video card overclocking, any help in the right direction would be appriciated.

if u bring up 3dmarkxx and click on the system description button it will tell u what it thinks the card has active...

even after unlocking the masked goodies, it's still a 6800... the only differences in the chips are # pipes & shaders enabled, and clockspeed...

rivatuner also tells u if the masked things are unmasked, i guess u don't trust it?

oh, I do trust that, just wondering if there is a program to test the unlock for pixelation and lines, I dont think I have any, will 3dmark do it?

3dMark will test for artifacts(crappy pipes). Rivatuner tests the pipes before they get turned on, in case theyre crappy.

well then my card unlocks everything 🙂 when I overclock it too much it freezes a game in game play then continues, but I will just have to see how far it will go before it freezes and leave it there, WOW my budget card is a great bang for the buck! thanks for the info.
