I got my BFG 6800 back from RMA the other day so I swapped it my fx5800 for it and installed the latest drivers. When I tried playing CS it would freeze up every 15 seconds or so, making it unplayable. I tried CoD, which ran fine, and Joint Operations had some freezing up, but only every couple of minutes.

I tried cleaning the drivers out completely and reinstalling, but no dice. I then installed the 66.97 drivers instead. I thought the problem in CS was gone, but now the game freezes up every couples of minutes instead. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Its easier to turn it off in your bios (if there is an option for it).

If it still does it, contact BFG.

My 6800gt and nforce3 250 motherboard has the exact same issue with D3D applications, dissabling fastwrites solves the problem. From digging around on Google, the issue seems fairly common.
