Wow thats an AWSOME price. I had a 6800 GT from PNY and it was awsome. Came with 3 year warrenty etc I of course killed that the day I got it but it counts for something lol. I donno about this one with a warrenty though (being OEM).

It should perform exactly the same as any retail cardand with that nice of a price it almost makes me want to pick one up for back up, esspecially if its pipe moddable.

Looks legit.

As for PNY, their supprt is lackluster. And the 6800's (earlier ones at least, don't know about the current runs) were buggy. I had to fool witht he clock settings just to get mine working right:

Raise the 2d clock & voltage = to the 3d clock & voltage
Eliminate the card's ability to "throttle" (move back into 2d mode if it is getting too hot)

The problem was that in games like CS:S and BF: Vietnam my card would throttle at 70 some degrees and lock up, then it'd go into a sound loop, then work again.

In other words, to fix it, I had to void the warranty.....mildly ironic.

Bad cooling solution I guess. A silencer would work well except it costs ~30.

I have an eVga 6800 and it works quite well. Now that I cleaned all the dust off of it I found I can OC the hell out of it (already had it fully unlocked). I had no problems playing HL2 or Doom3 with it.

70C is nothing for 6800Us....if it hit 80, I'd worry, but it never does...yeah, a silencer would be cool (NV5 Silencer or the Zalman one...I'd prefer the NV5 since if vents the vair outside the case.)

30-40 though, and that is something I don't want to spend yet.

This card is THE bang per buck answer.

I've had three 6800NUs, they rock. At this price, no one should consider anything else.

I agree. This is an outstanding graphics card. I loved my eVGA to death, and it unlocked to boot. You can get some serious performance out of these little guys.

I ordered one.. I'll try to get back with you in a couple of days..

Thanks for all the replys folks. My instincts told me it was worth a try..

Just looking to see if anyone had ordered one and had a real negative experience..

I feel it is encouraging that Newegg is not showing any return restrictions...

Looks like it ought to be the same card as the retail version, that is selling elsewhere for about $199..
