6800 core clock misreading?

I'm using the XG 80.40's on my 6800nu and it shows up as that in all clock speed monitoring applications. I've tried Sandra, RivaTuner, and even in 3dmark05 it shows that it never gets about like 12MHz on the core. Now I know this isn't true because games play well (even better than the 77.62's I think), but you guys think this could just be something with the drivers?

It's real weird.
 
Probably just something with the drivers. I bet the 77.72's work fine.

Does 3DMark give you a lower score or is it just screwing up the readings?
