6800 cooling solutions?

Anyone seen any 6800 cooling solutions at hardware vendors or are they just not out yet? Anyone know if the geforce 5900 solutions will fit the 6800 cards?

I have a BFG 5900 with a dual fan hsf which looks superior to the stock unit on my 6800 GT and would like to swap them if possible.

PS.
Yes, I know! I could pull the 6800 GT and compare the two, but then I'd have to stop playing Doom 3...

I created a thread a couple of days ago asking the same question and got no replies. I don't think there is much out there right now.

Koolance has stated that their GPU-180 block is ready for the 6800 series. I ordered some Koolance kit yesterday and it should be here by the weekend.

Thanks for the reply. Is that a waterblock? I'm still a little leary of mixing water with my computer (because I've never done it).

The stock fan looks pretty whimpy compared to the dual fan BFG 5900. I think I could squeeze a few more MHz out of my GPU with some better cooling.

Probably these will start showing up after people can actually get their hands on the cards!!!

Well the new BFG 6800 GT's have that new heatsink with the dual fans but it has a added heatpipe. From everyone that I have seen over on nvnews.net That have these new BFG dual fan coolers on their 6800GT's. They actually produce HIGHIER TEMPS not lower ones. So it seems those coolers are just for looks and don't hepl AT ALL.

Arctic Cooling is releasing ther NV Silencer 4 in a few weeks.

It will be a two slot solution and if it works as good as their other VGA silencers, it will easily outperform stock solutions (as well as exhuast the hot air out the back of the case, no back into it like current cooling solutions).

Only downside is that using one will void your warranty; and if you break your card, you're SOL (and don't be an 455 and put the old crap back on and try to RMA it...those people need to learn how to take responsibility of their actions (and the consequences).

The whole warranty issue is a null with me, as I voided my 6800GT warranty within 30 minutes of receiving in the mail.

Thanks! I'll be on the lookout for it.

How did you void your warranty?
