6800 and Temps?

How do you see the temps of your 6800?
Also what are good temps and max temps i should worry about?

I was thinking about unlocking my evga 6800nu. How do I do this anyway. Whts a good overclock and what tests do you run to see if the unlock is stable. Also whats the gains you get?

To see the temperatures, just right click on the desktop background and go to advanced and go to the "Temperature" tab.

If you want to know the temperature at the time you played a game, you can install RivaTuner and set it up the way described in this thread. Then, after the game, you can open Riva and see the temperature versus time.

Unlocking will void the warranty.
No, they will not have a way to find out. But, you are not supposed to RMA if you unlock and something goes wrong.

If something goes wrong? You're not going to kill the card by unlocking, and everything is reversible. The only thing that may cause something to go wrong is the overclocking.

"Good temps" are different for many people. It all depends on what you deem acceptable. For me, as long as it doesn't explode is pretty much acceptable for me. For others, people feel the need to have it under 40C.

For me, though, I idle around 55C and full load no more than 65C. The max is like 135C, so no worries.

And *cough*
