680 Watts ENOUGH for this system ???

That PSU is weak with the 12VDC output rail I'd check the Hot Deals forum for Antec Earthwatts 500. These are often available for $30 after rebate. I also like the Antec TruePower Trio 550. Note that this PSU may not POST with some Abit and Asus boards. Earthwatts is a safe bet.

could probably even get away with a Corsair 450VX or Antec earthwatts 430, much better efficiency.

amperage on that Okia model is a bit lacking especially for the 8800GT which recommends at least 26 amperes on the 12V rail/rails

I'm building a very similar system and will be getting a corsair 450VX myself probably.

yeah, the 450vx is still plenty of power, but costs the same as the 550vx, same thing for the earthwatts 430w.

well if it's the same price no reason not to step up, I just know I can get a corsair 450VX for about $60 USD through my Dell account.

I'm running an opteron at 2.4ghz and an 8800GT on an oooold 300W server PSU, so the 8800GT really doesnt use THAT much power. Quad 6600, I dunno.
