Anybody seen these tests yet? I wonder how well it scales down and up in power. Downclocked some 5-600Mhz lower the 6700 65W part seems like a golden middle to me, but a detailed performance per watt chart would be nice to observe, nonetheless.
 
Yeah it is a really easy test to do as long as you have a kill-a-watt. Run prime95 and cpu-Z, set the clock using powercfg PROCTHROTTLEMAX, and read the meter, set the clock again, read the meter, etc. Takes like 5 minutes. I dont know why nobody does it.
 
Everybody talks about power efficiency, but no review web site has done it.

I don't want to buy Skylake-S just to run these tests myself.
 
I vaguely remember some bench sites doing power consumption @4.5, and it was using like 20w less than 4790k @4.5
