We had a really warm January, the river is actually open in some spots.

Driveway was getting really soft and some roads were down to the pavement and very rough. Now we're more or less back to normal:

Half decent amount of snow fell so far, nothing that's a show stopper but enough to be slightly inconvenient. Anyone who snowmobiles or skiis will be happy though as a lot of snow melted during the January heat wave. Pretty sure we broke records there.

Normally we'd be getting -30's and -40's at this time of year though... but I won't complain. Those get old after a while especially with utility costs constantly going up.

it was 15°C here the other day.

Now it's back to a more normal 5°C.

Thankfully it also rained and snowed some in the mountains.

2 months without rain in the winter wasn't usual, this is a fairly rainy place.

Sick.

Throat is sore.
I expect sinus infection soon.

Hate life. Am sure I got it from school. Those idiot children dont clean their hands properly. But that doesnt stop them from messing the place up. The mens room in every building looks like it was the set of a low-budget horror film. And they each get cleaned multiple times per day!

If somebody told me it was February I wouldnt believe them.

74F here. Effin tree pollen. Had my window open the other day. That night my head & eyes started hurting. Sucks that I can't breathe the fresh air due to my allergies. Why can't I have any winter? I'm ready to move north.

Yeah it was just 60 the other day and then we got a foot of snow. Then it's gonna be almost 50 next week again.

83F here yesterday. A record. Had to turn on the a/c when I woke up in a puddle of sweat. Boo.

at night?

That was the high here yesterday. When it gets above 80 during the day it makes it difficult to sleep at night without the a/c. Of course, I'm hot natured. I don't turn on the heat unless it gets near freezing. My wife on the other hand... she and I were in agreement last night.

Yesterday was lovely day. It's just unfortunate that the tree pollen is high. I was hoping to have a break for another month. That's when all sorts of stuff start blooming around here. Been hot and dry this last couple of months. Perfect weather for grass fires and tree pollen. Blech.

My bad. It got up to 88F here yesterday. Ugh. I mean, that would be awesome for summer here in North Texas, but winter? Eff that.

84°F yesterday. I kept the window ajar all night long because it bottomed at 67°. Pollen is setting in. Tree leafage imminent.

That's brutal. 80F in summer is hot, can't imagine that in winter. There's like 2 feet of snow on my AC unit last I checked. It won't be running for a while. :p
