Huh? I was just talking about how beautiful number 661 is. No other number comes close. Well, 42 maybe, but that's it.

Seriously now. For some reason, I really don't want Bonds to break Ruth or Hanks records. Can't explain why. Just don't.

I'm no Bonds fan, but a quick fact for everybody:

When Marris was going after Babe's record everybody hated him. There was an asterix next to his name until 10 years ago. Who knows, maybe Bonds will have a similar destiny. Watch '61*' for more info.

I don't think that Marris was hated soley because he was going after the record. I think many of the people really wanted to Mantle to break the record, and Marris wasn't a household name.

Great movie too.

Great movie too.

That was one reason. Marris didn't help either by being a very private person and shunning reporters.

Apparently, the same fan who got home run ball #660 in McCovey Cove also got #661. He gave 660 to Bonds, I wonder if he'll do the same with this one.

I read an article that said he had only gotten BP balls before... what are the odds?
