Ok im either going to be buying this card: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-...gpu-1019mhz-boost-1097mhz-cores-1344-2x-dl-dv

or this card: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-...r5-28nm-gpu-800mhz-1792-cores-dl-dvi-i-hdmi-m

Here are some things im considering:

- I've heard in america that the 7950 is more expensive, which makes me think that its better than the 660ti. But in the UK, most of the 660ti's are the same price as the 7950s.
- My tv monitor has a 60hz refresh rate, and i've heard about tearing... So is it worth getting the 660ti for adaptive vsync? or will i be ok with a 7950?
-The main games i will be playing are Crysis 1, Crysis 2, BF3, Minecraft ( :p ).
- My TV's native resolution is 1366 x 768, but i'll probably be playing higher than that.
So which one is best for me to go with?
Thanks :)

If priced the same the 7950 is the better choice. But if you don't overclock and play mostly BF3 the 660Ti pulls ahead. If you like Borderlands 2, the included game with GTX660Ti is nice.

Save yourself some money and grab a 7850 instead. It will be enough for your resolution.Heck probably 7770 will be plenty.

7950 is a better card. Adaptive Vsync is not really special IMO. And the 660 comes with borderlanda 2 which may interest you. However for that resolution they are both more than you need.

I just bought the EVGA 660Ti SC for myself, Newegg had it for $10 off and a $10 MIR, so it was $290 and came with the Borderlands 2 copy. I loved me some Borderlands, and the PhysX stuff they're showing for the sequel is awesome, so that kind of made my decision for me.

Getting it today, my current card is a GTX470, so I dunno that I'm going to see a huge performance jump in some stuff, but hopefully it is quieter, and I'm interested in the Nvidia Surround stuff since I have 2 25" LCDs and plan to add a third.

Grab the HD7950. A HD7850 would be fine too but the 7950 will definitely last longer while you max out everything at that resolution.

HD7850 2GB is more than enough for that resolution. I second that recommendation.

Between 660Ti and 7950, it's not even contest if you don't mind overclocking. With overclocking, HD7950 is unreachable by the 660Ti.

At 1135mhz, HD7950 provides very good value for high-end gamers at similar prices to 660Ti:

You may also want to wait 1 week before ordering as GTX660 is rumoured to launch at $229 and that may put more price pressure on 7850/7870 cards allowing you to grab an HD7870 at 7850 prices or may be you can grab the 660 depending on how it performs.
