Hello There,

Is there a safe basic overclock for 660ti's which is universally quite achieveable?
While GPU overclocking is a little more straightforward than CPU, (where I have xp) I have no reference for what is acceptable when it comes to temps, low OC's or common OC's.

Sorry to link into Thread Title : I have the 660ti GB WF2, and judging by its excellent after market cooler, and my case temps (R4 w/ Xtra 140mm R2 FAN) I would like to use this as a reference model for the advice. Cheers.

I don't believe Kepler will really allow you to do unsafe overclocks :)

Yep. Kepler is a near fool-proof design. Just use a utility like Evga Precision and max out the power target, then incrementally raise your gpu and mem clocks.

Gigabyte has 2 OC'd 660ti's, the WF2 (941mhz) and the 2GD model (1033mhz) which seems to have a higher max boost than any other 660ti. Shame you didnt get the latter which is a cracker of a card:

I agree. I bought the SC version of a gtx 660 last week.
Here is the GPU-Z screen shot.

All I did was raise the TDP to +110%. Even without, it boosted to 1150mhz. With the TDP adjustment, the boost never drops from 1150mhz and runs stable with that memory o/c. I really can't adjust any more +clocks, because it randomly didn't like it. IMO, without voltage increases, 28nm clocks at 1150mhz are typical, or average.
