Hi

i was wondering which is better, the 6600 regular vs the 9800pro for playing EQ2 and CS:source when they are about the same price $135.

i never modded or OC a vid card before, is it easy? does it matter what brand i use? i would rather not mod or anything.

anyone else wanna comment on the 6600np vs 9800pro?

A 6200 CANNOT be softmodded into a 6600GT. It can be softmodded into a 6600 by unlocking the other 4 disabled pipelines.
 
yeah, but a 6600/6600gt are better then the nicest 9800 cards, plus have shader model 3.0, which the 9800 doesnt, meaning that the 6xxx series will easily outperform the 9800 in future games (or the 9800 wont even play them)
