Heres the rig

FX-53
1 gig OCZ pc3700EL
2 6600GT's in SLi
Asus a8n-sli
2 36 raptors raid

I have been looking around online and my fps in the video stress test seem extremely low im getting no more than 65 fps in the stress test at 1024x768 high detail no antialiasing no anio....and i get 75 fps when i drop all the detail to next to nothing which is even more offensive....I am using the 71.25 drivers dunno if anyone else is having similar issues or if i shouldnt be expecting so much buit i have seen other computers with similar hardware and the 6600GT sli set up getting much better scores.

Also I am using the global driver profile in the nvidia options and regardless of whether i use "single GPU rendering or multi the framerate stays the same...that is whats really boggling my mind

u do know that 2 6600 gt's in sli perform about the same as a single 6800 gt, right? even still, the frames seem a tad bit low.

yes something is up, u shud be getting around at least 100 at 1024 no aa af on stress test, i would think...

yeah i thought it would be higher too but check this out....
I took one card out flipped the card to single gpu mode and ran the HL video test again....145 fps so i am slightly confused i put the other card back in after that and it got 149 i have no idea whats going on with it nor do i know how to fix it when i only have one card plugged in im getting around 55000 in aquamark and with 2 cards in im getting around 65000 im thinking that is a pretty pathetic increase for 2 cards but after asking around it is just shy of what a stock 6800 ultra is getting so i guess i cant feel too horrible

Weird. The system in my sig gets 140FPS at the settings you mentioned - everything maxed, no AA/AF. If you're only pulling in 70ish with SLI 6600GTs, something is WRONG.

Yeah, I get the same thing with CS. The Stress Test is right around 60 and I can see it having issues (slight stutter, etc.). Half Life 2, however, plays much smoother than CS for whatever reason. Maybe something codewise hangs up CS because it was ported to the Source engine instead of being native like HL2? Wierd. 😕

Are you sure SLI is enabled? I know this is common sense but have you cleaned out old drivers? What were your steps to enable SLI?
