6600GT - Which one, and where to buy?

I have checked out PriceGrabber for the 6600GT card and came up with many choices. However I do not know which one to go with.

I was going to go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127147 but it doesn't have a warranty. It needs to be PCI-Express.

Any suggestions?

The MSI has a 30 day warranty replacement + a 1 yr newegg warranty... I thought I needed something a bit more?

I had the same choices. They were all near identical so I based my choice on noise. Somewhere, they compared and MSI came out the quietest.

ive had the evga and xfx and now chaintech.


they are all more or less the same, but the chaintech fan is much quieter. some of the 6600gt shave REALLY loud fans.

take your pick, but my leadtek has been extremely good to me. newegg is a good place to buy from

Are the MSI 6600GT PCIe cards still having the HSF issues reported in the AT review from December? I am also looking at MSI and Leadtek.

I heard people complaining that the MSI was overheating a lot.

With a 1 yr limited warranty, I don't think it is worth the risk... Still wondering why someone would want a 1 yr warranty with a video card...
