hey i would like to know which card would run games like CS:S and cs 1.6 better? right now i have a 6800 and playing on med-low quality and it sucks at 50-60 fps. its a PNY 6800 128mb i got over the summer. i have and AGP 8x board.. and i think getting an all new MB and gfx card in 4 months time is a waste of money.. so should i get the $120 evga 6600gt agp? will i get 100 fps in CS;S on high settings?

The 6800 should be performing well enough, you COULD try using the dx81 flag a previous poster suggested - less eye-candy but should run smoother.

yup 8,1 difference is barely noticable. go ahead, try. then go to 90 and see the difference if u can at all. 70 is also possible but so hideous its not worth it. 81 fps are def higher on an older card though, even with my 6600gt:p

as for lockups, ur psu...what is it? probable culprit
