I made a mistake by buying Leadtek 6600GT from eBay.

After a month I started to see flickering in the games.

so, I am going to get another card.
6800GT this time, to play games smoothly with my new 2005fpw and widescreen setting.

so, main question is..
what brand should i go for?
oh btw, I need PCI-e

thank you in ahead

Asus, MSI, Leadtek, XFX & Gigabyte are leading brands. Personally i would choose an Asus but the choice is yours.

do not get XFX or PNY...get BGF, EVGA, Leadtek, Gainward or Gigabyte etc...all of them are good

BFGs overclocks are really conservative and cost you extra money. MSI for nVidia, Sapphire or Asus for ATI.

EVGA

edit-btw, who really uses up a 2 year, never mind a lifetime warranty? if you do then i guess the premium for bfg is worth it. the "oc" can be had by any 6800gt by mistake and although i have never owned a bfg i am hard pressed to believe their service would surpass evgas.

agreed.

And I would recommend a x800xl instead of a 6800gt for pcie. Unless of course the $100 or so price difference means nothing to you, then go ahead and get a 6800gt.

agreed x 2 lol. if the difference for a pci express 6800 gt and a x800 xl is greater than 50 bucks go with the cheaper one (usually the x800xl). but for agp 6800 gt is king right now.
