XFX 6600GT (PCIe): stock 500/1000; o/c 565/1100. It hits 92C when o/c and playing FarCry; 52C in idle. I am looking to get a better cooling solution for it.

My BFG stock 525/1050 PCI-E, won't do anything, overclocking to anything higher than stock gives me artifacts in all my games.

My limit depends. I've gotten it as high as 560/1100 but anything on the memory over 1085~ gives me artificats when it heats up. I even have ramsinks on, that only brought me up to 1085, it used to artifcat over 1080. I want to hopefully switch to a 7800GT or something in the near future.

I've gotten to 545/1.02 stable. Basically, it all depends on how warm or cold my house is.

i guess i jagged a pretty good one, i'm sure there's loads of headroom in the RAM, but i've just been too lazy to play with it recently...

;)

i got up to 1.145 but the nvidia/coolbits won't let me go any higher (says it fails the test :p) so what else can i use, powerstrip any good?

Mines AGP

Core 563/1035

i increased agp bus to 70mhz and got 568/1040 boosted 3dmark score by 110?! Was suprised since clocks only 8mhz faster then previous OC

Some high temps there i idle 49 and 72 under full load

when OC load is 78

Is increasing agp bus risky or is it ok if it runs stable?

580/1150 is what I normally use for gaming, however the max is 582/1225. Coolbits says I can run it at 600/1225 but it begins to artifact at that speed. Perhaps I need a better PSU? I'm using an Arctic Silencer 6 Rev.2; idle is 28-33, load temp is 56.

600/1200 no artifacts, but have it at 580/1160 simply for peace of mind. Max load temp 72c.

The OC numbers, including "optimum detected" in coolbits increased a bit when I installed an after-market cooler (Jetart copper heatsinl/fan).

Thats pretty warm...I'd look into a Zalman vf700 if I were you. My temps decreased dramatically, and I got more OCing out of my card :)

Right now i'm at 565/1.05 for stability. I haven't tried any further.

Leadtek 6600GT AGP 500/900 to 550-1200 on a cold day to 535-1150 on a hot day. I used ATI tool to check for problems and it gives me problems when I go over 82-83 for more than 10-15 minutes or so.

can i ask what memory chips are on the pci version? (Code on the top of them)

The agp uses K4J5532QF-GC20 which are rated at 500mhz (ddr3 so 500mhz*2=1ghz) but they clock it at 900. Just wandering if they are the same chips on the PCI-E

my leadtek 6600gt pci-e did 590/1235 on stock cooling. But I sold it now for a 6800gt. In Doom 3, it halved the performance difference between a stock 6600gt and 6800gt. But when you get beyond 4AA, it's another story.
