6600GT or 6800?

I am buying a new video card and i was wondering if the price difference between the 6600gt and the 6800 is worth it. If i got the 6800 i would plan on unlocking it and such. Currently from what i gather im leaning towards the 6800, sounds worth the difference. Any thoughts would be appreciated though.
 
I know it has, i just wanted a clear straightforward answer though, and yes i plan on overclocking it. Pretty sure the price difference is worth it. I basically just wanted to hear it to make it concrete.

how do u plan on overclocking because I am having the same problem trying to decide which card to get. I know u can use powerstrip and other ocing tools but which ones allow u to unlock pipelines and such. Thank you
 
If you can't unlock the pipes, go with the 6600gt if you can get it for less than 130 AR. If you can, then well, get the 6800...
 
I got the PNY 6800NU from EggHead for $156
Mine unlocked no problems
The were selling the Retail & OEM for the same price but gone from
listing now - they will be back.
 
I have a BFG 6800 nu. Mine unlocks to 16/6 and runs fine. My core also oc's to 380mhz. Needless to say, I'm happy with the performance for the money. 🙂
