Hi all. I bought my eVGA 6600gt AGP a month or so ago and I have been pretty happy. I could OC it to about 525,1050 before artifacting started. I just bought a vf700 and hooked it up and I am amazed. I keep bring it up and up. Right now I am at 594,1188! My Aquamark scores have increased from 48,000 to 63,000 and 3DMark05 is over 4000!
I definately did not expect that. I see no artifacting in games or ATITool. Is this normal for a 6600gt to clock so high? The most surprising thing to me is the RAM. I have no sinks on it (wouldn't fit under vf700) but they still OC 288 MHz.
Also, I noticed when I bumped it from (590,1180) to (594, 1188), my Aquamark score jumped from 55,000 to over 63,000... Is there any reason for this? the only thing I can think of is some background apps, but I know F@H, McAfee, and Windows Spyware Beta were all running. Seems strange...
