Check my sig for hardware info.

I've been using this card for awhile now, about a year with no probelems whatsoever, however, about 3 weeks ago it started locking up when I went to play certain games, like FFXI or Counter-Strike, I found that it happens with almost anything that requires full-screen.
Just before it locks up everything turns black, then it gets static on the screen(but doesn't completely fill it up) then freezes.

It works find if I put everthing in the video settings at the bare minimum(No AA, vsync off, etc...) but if I move anything above that it starts happening again.

I have no clue whats causing this, everythign seated properly, everythings getting the right amount of power, no overheating, temps are fine. So I'm completely lost as to what's happening.

Sounds like bad ram on the card. Install coolbits if you haven't already and underclock the 3D speed of ram significantly and see if it continues to happen.

Is the GPU fan still spinning? Also, pull the card out and put it back in. Scraping those contacts can do wonders sometimes.

I was going to recommend that plus making sure that the extra power cable is connected to your video card. If it came disconnected or a little loose, that would definitely cause problems.
