Hi,
My brother got BF2 for xmas, and I installed it for him. However, when I go in the game, it constantly looks like in the pic: http://www.mustangmods.com/data/263/prob.jpg
The computer is not overclocked and it does this as soon as I go into the game. He has this and special forces.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

***ON EDIT*** It has come to my attention that it is happening in all my games now. Just started today. Confirmed in Quake 4 and Doom 3. It seemed to go away at 640x480 in Quake 4 though...

Have you installed all the latest drivers for your system? Installed the 1.12 BF2 update?

Make sure you get the latest patches and install in this order:
Install BF2---> Apply patch 1.03
Install BF2 Special Forces-----> Apply patch 1.12

Next try out some different drivers. New ones doesn't neccessarily mean they're better, at least in my experiences. The best drivers I've found for my 6600GT is the 77.77 drivers.

Get the 77.77 Drivers here

Merry Christmas,

I should have stated that. I installed the latest Nvidia driver (81.98) and BF2 was really choppy so I reverted back to 81.94 and everything was good again

Thanks for the responses.
I already had the most recent drivers. Still, I went back to 77.77 with no luck. Also tried reinstalling bf2 and ran the patch. Also tried reinstalling directx. Nothing seems to work.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

You could try posting your problem HERE or Here or even Here.

I am looking around the net and so far I don't see anybody posting about the same problem you are having. Maybe try playing with the in-game video settings? Or install Battlefield 2 but don't patch it, run the game and see if the problem is still there.....

Wish I could give you a solid answer I am sure you want to play....

Well, I guess I have been giving the wrong information. This all started today, but his other games are now doing the same thing. Confirmed with Doom 3 and Quake 4. Therefore, it is definitely not the game.
With this new info, any suggestions?

I would make sure the fan on the video card is working, it looks like an overheated video card problem. Maybe try swapping the video card out with another card. If you have another video card laying around good enough to run BF2 that is...

Stock everything on this machine.

I took the video card out, blew out some of the dust in the fan (not much though), and disconnected then reconnected the fan. Hooked it back up, restarted, and everything, including BF2 works perfectly.
Let's hope that it stays that way. Thanks very much for the help.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. imo Battlefield 2 is awesome.

Have Fun!

Most people will tell you single player sucks but it isn't that bad. At least it works for learning how to fly. I wish people would learn to fly in single player rather than learning when I am their copilot.
