What kind of FPS should I expect when running all settings maxed at 1024x768?? Ive seen mine go from as high as 80s to as low as 40s. And If i overlock it up to 571/1140 it only makes it stay in the 40-60 range. And it seems when i start out its faster than after Ive played for 10 min. I check the temp and its mid 50s under load. Just wondering if thats about right.

seems a bit low, what do you get on the VST? its probably your CPU thats limiting you though; CSS is a cpu hog. an a64 would fix that up 😉

What is your refresh rate at 1024 x 768?

If it is 80hz, you might want to test your true frame rate by disabling Vsync.

If it still tops out at 60hz, you probably are noticing the "DirectX refresh rate" bug that was introduced into Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

It can be addressed in the drivers, or by downloading a small utility that locks your refresh rate to an appropriate one.

Also, please note, refresh rates are dependent on resolution. (Unless you have a high end monitor.) At higher resolutions you may only be able to support 80hz or 75 or in worst cases 60hz. (You don't want to play with 60hz, your eyes will be burning!)
