here's the setup...

p2.4 prescott
micro-atx mobo
512 ram
6600gt 128mb agp card in 4x AGP slot with the 4pin connector in.
300w psu

cd and 2 hdd have been put on a separate psu by shorting the green to black wires.

the computer boots up fine, but if a play any game, after a 1 minute a message appears in windows that the card is under powered and for safety will run at a lower speed.

the 300w psu has 12A an the 12V rail.
drivers are forceware 78.01
6600gt bios is 5.43.02.41

also, if i connect my second psu to the 6600gt after shorting the psu, the cpu fan continues to run after shut down.

that's a pretty lame psu mate ;)

mind you, i ran my tbred-b@2.1/9800 pro/HDTV tuner card/SBLive! 24-bit/2xHDD/2xoptical drives/Asus A7V8X mobo, 1GB ram for a long time on my 380w/8A 12v rail psu.

When i added the SBLive!, about a week later, mid heavy D3 fragging, the PSU just went pop ;) I opened it up and started it, and after about 10seconds it exploded in my face...luckily no damage ;)
