i have a 9700p, but i want to move to nv. dont really care about a big performance jump, just looking to use the 3d glasses ive been sitting on.


and while im here, what is the cheapest card with the component out.
my mame cab has a brand new tv with an 8500 and the component will not work with the damn thing (although it is only 480i, its still component and looks that much better)


btw, what are 9700p going for? if i can stretch to a GT.
 
I'm using a DVI to component converter on my 9800pro.

What kind of component adapter are you using on your 8500? I think the 8500 uses the vga to component adapter and the 9700pro needs the DVI to component adapter.

I'm not sure if that's what you were asking with that part of your question.

A used 9700pro is about $125 to $150.

 
the 8500 is in the cab.
and the ati adapters are hard to find and expensive when you do.
i have a vga -> component adapter that came with my pj, but i cant get the damn thing to give out the right timings.
ive screwed with powerstrip til i couldnt stand it anymore. i have a onkyo dvd player that works fine with the tv in component, but ive never been able to find what those standard timings are.
closest ive ever gotten is a slightly rolling screen with only half aligned
