6600 vanilla vs x700 vanilla

the 6600 and the x700 vannillas are both the same price at newegg currently (~$110). which one would get better performance?

Looking at the specs, I think the X700 would nudge ahead.

I saw benchmarks that showed the 6600 near x700 Pro speeds. I think the 6600 would be a better buy plus you can overclock to GT speeds.

Anandtech's own review of the 6600 shows the ATI X700 to be faster in most games. Also, you cannot get the memory on a 6600 to clock near a 6600gt with GDDR3 memory.

at stock speeds grab the x700, as the reviews say outside d3 the x700 is usually better.
