6600 agp verses 7600 agp....

I have a friend who is upgrading to a 7600 from a 6600. That is not much of an upgrade is it?

If it was me I would be looking for a 7900 agp instead.

Any comments??

a 7600GS performs very similar to a 6800NU...maybe a tad faster, so it might be a decent upgrade if your friend is using a regular 6600 or an LE, they were pretty crap.

6800gt ,7600gt or the top end 7800gs will all be good upgrades for AGP systems with a 6600. IN that order of price and performance.

yes, these would much better options....except if he has a PCI-E then replace the 7800GS with the 7900GS...
