66 year old man discovers he's a woman

China of course. 😀

Yahoo News said:
A trip to the doctor recently brought a 66-year-old Chinese man more than medicine when doctors discovered "he" was in fact a woman, according to the South China Morning Post.
The woman had visited the hospital complaining of a swollen stomach when doctors discovered she had a cyst on her ovaries — ovaries she didn't know she had.

It's the type of information you might not expect to receive after retirement age, but the unnamed patient in a case reported in the Hong Kong Medical Journal had a rare combination of conditions that meant she looked like a man, according to the story. She was even able to grow a beard.
The newspaper reported this was one of only six past documented cases in which a patient had both Turner Syndrome and congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

Women considered 'normal' have two complete X chromosomes.
Women with Turner Syndrome, however, are missing part or all of one of those chromosomes, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
As a result, adult women with Turner Syndrome don't develop as much as other women after puberty. They might have small breasts and as in this case, they often can't have children.

About one of every 2,000 females born have the condition, according to the library of medicine.

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia affects a person's ability to produce hormones, including those that make us appear male or female, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The patient plans to continue identifying as a man, according to the story.
A strange conversation to have with your doctor, to be sure.

Just hold on a minute? Did he/she not have a Johnson? Maybe it's different in China but here in the west, that's a pretty clear indicator of sex.

If I learned anything from South Park it's that asian people have tiny penis. Lack of a visible dick was probably considered normal.

I wonder how he accounted for blood in his pants every month 😵

Just because "he" had ovaries doesn't mean "he" had periods.

Its sounds like he/she/it has some fucked up biology. I'd be surprised if the reproductive system worked.

Reminds me of a House episode (S2E8). Girl comes in and has cancer but they can't find where. Turns out it's testicular. "Her" balls never dropped (not during puberty but as a fetus) and she developed as a female.

They probably just got confused and didn't realize what they were dealing with. We already hashed out that a man is a man is a man and a woman is a woman is a woman. There is never a situation where humans can be either in between or the other.

So what this article is telling me is that if your wife/girl friend can't conceive a child, you're fucking a man with a vagina?

LOL. We should ask those people if they would be OK with having sex with a FtM transsexual. Why not? They're women, right?:sneaky:

Yup. Sexual ambiguity can be very weird sometimes.

There are even cases of little girls growing a penis at puberty.

There was also this "female" tennis player who was dominating until they found out "she" was chromosomally male and they banned her. Externally, she has a vagina, but internally, she has testes rather than ovaries.

Here's some of my notes from my hormones and behavior class. *NSFW*, graphic pics

Sometimes people are externally male and still have ovaries. Rare, but it happens.
That's what I was thinking. Pretty wild.

Also, the 1 in 2,000 females born with that Turner Syndrome seems like quite a high number actually, but I guess there's varying degrees of it?

In those conditions, the labia are enlarged and often merged to look like a scrotum, and the clitoris is also enlarged to look like a small penis. S/he did not have a complete 2nd X so all sorts of weird things happen with gender development.
