I know this has been posted before, but the search and faq aren't working at the moment. Will 100 MHz SDRAM or 133 MHz SDRAM work while mixed with 66 MHz memory in an old computer (66 MHz bus). They are about half the price...

Faster ram should always work will slower ram. PC100 or PC133 ram will work with PC66 ram, but only at 66MHz.

It really depends. I know for sure that PC133 and PC100 are pretty much compatible with each other. Using PC100 in a PC66 only motherboard could cause problems. A few years back when PC100 was the norm I went and bought a 64MB stick and put it in my LX board and it refused to run it. The ram was perfectly ok since I used it later down the track in a friend's machine.

You should probably buy from a store with a good return policy so you are sure you can take it back when it doesn't work out.

MulLa, that had nothing to do with the speed grade of the memory. Edit: Probably just had to do with a motherboard/memory incapatiblity. But not because it was the memory was rated faster than 66MHz.

All PCxxx memory is the same memory standard. The higher numbers simply denote a faster speed that the memory is guarranteed to run at. PC66 will run at least 66 MHz. PC100 will run up to at least 100 MHz. PC133 will run up to at least 133 MHz. They are all the same, just bin-sorted by their capabilities.
