I'm running an Athlon XP 3000+ only running at 1.73ghz (because of 2100 RAM) for the time being and my idle temp is 48-50C, normal load, 50-57C, and high load (running Aquamark) its about 60-65C. I'm using a Thermaltake Silent Boost (not Tower), with Antec Reference Compound. I plan on getting a better heatsink & compound + a better case in about a month or two, will these temperatures do any damage for the stint of time I have this current setup? Thanks for any help.

oh ya I will bet getting some 3200 RAM as well.

if its stable, youre fine. a little high, but well within reason. my case temp is 52, and i idle at 60. top out about 65-67 after gaming sessions, and no problems.

edit: xp2500@11x200 1.75v

First of all, good luck with that mainboard.

You can run the CPU at its full rate by running the memory at a lower ratio. Just select a ratio that allows CPU to run at 166mhz bus, but memory to run at 133mhz.

The temps are a little too high. What's your temperatures like with the side cover off? If much better, you might want to consider placing a few 80mm fans in good positions to help circulations.
