going to buy a corsair because my ps is going out.
650 for 99
750 for 119
or 850 f0r 129

using mobo ram proc dvd, 1 HD and a 8800gts

I saw that 850, but am not a fan of MIR since it can take WEEKS to MONTHS to get those back.
But is 850 overkill? I plan on putting in a q9550 and a NEW ATI vid card as soon as dx11 cards are out.

The 650 is more than enough for any single GPU out! If your going to Xfire/SLI than the 750 would be a better selection, even though the 650 can work well with Xfire/SlI too.

Okay I have decided to get a antec true power new. Newegg has the 650 for $99 shipped and the 750 blue for $110 shipped. Should I spend the $10 or am I wasting $10 because I wont need that much power? Also I dont really want a blue LED.

If you want to save ~$35 than the Antec BP550w PSU all that you really need. It's modular too!
$65 shipped!! Has 32A on the combined 12v rails, which is plenty for your current build.
Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Retail

or get the 750w for $95 shipped!!
Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V version 2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7" Power Supply - Retail

I went for the true new for $110. Jonny Guru said it is a great psu and even though 750 is major overkill the efficiency at 50% to 60% load will be well utilized.
