PCI/AGP too fast...short history--setup info.

Yesterday I purchased, and am now using, an Abit KT7A-RAID, a test Duron 650 running 865--1.60v, 6.5*133, Micron PC-100, FOP32-1 fan, Enlight 7237 case, old 1.2 GB HD for testing, Radeon 64 mb ES DDR, WIN98SE, 10/100 3Com nic for cable modem/connectivity...no other cards. ...basically, no other changes...running 18 hours without a problem...temps at a cool 32 degrees...I am impressed, and have not even begun to REALLY tweak it.

Anyway, my issue is bus speed...a Duron 650 running 865--1.60v, 6.5*133 is showing up in SiSoft as

PCI=44mhz:Q
AGP=88mhz:Q

I know this is high, but in SoftMenu on the "CPU FSB/PCI Clock" it reads 133/33mhz, "Multiplier 6.5" (no, I have not unlocked it...yet), "CPU FSB Plus (Mhz)" 0, "Core Voltage" 1.60 v, all other settings default, except P&P OS (yes).

Is this way too much bus speed...is SiSoft right vs BIOS...thing has been VERY stable, not a single hiccup...nothing.

ANY setup info, tips, etc. as far as this goes would be great.

More stuff...my 2 cents...
I own 2 Abit boards (Bx6-r2, and KT7A-RAID), both of them overclocked...no real issues...very, very pleased...See "My Rig's"...look at #1.

SiSoft Sandra (for the Duron 650):
Dhrystone AU--2437
Whetstone FPU--1201

Oh yeah, that Duron 650 cost me $43 at a Computer show yesterday...uhh...bang for the buck.

If it is running fine, it should be fine, the Radeon has a nice HS/Fan already on it so it will not have problems. dont run any win modems on that though

SlickVic - You're OK.
I'm running at 133/33 MHz on a KT133A MB and Sisoft Sandra also tells me that I'm running PCI at 44 MHz and AGP at 88 MHz. The reason is that Sisoft Sandra still doesn't support the kt133A chipset. I don't know when there will be an update for this chipset.
My guess is that SiSoft Sandra detects your chipset as a kt133 running at 133 MHz where the pci divider is /3 and the AGP divider /1.5 at 133 MHz. Therefore the out-of-spec MHz.

Thanks...that makes sense...this chip/board rocks...can't wait to tweak, RAID 0, etc...plus, waiting on a "modified" 800 T-Bird from compuwiz1...'nuff said.

NO.. sandra is reporting it correctly. the FSB plus option in the bios does not work correctly. The abit kt7 raid has the same isssue. There is no way to reduce the pci bus from being 1/3 the FSB as far as i know.

check out kt7 faq

Quote from SiSoft website:
Sandra 2001 Erratas/Issues: Please read the following if you have any problems with this release:

Incorrect PCI/AGP multipliers @ KT133A/KM133 chipset: At 2x 133MHz FSB the PCI/Memory speeds could be wrong. Sandra does NOT support this chipset yet.
