64MB GeForce2MX...Worth It?

I am building a new system, and I came across a 64 MB GeForce2MX w/ TV out for about 160 dollars. The manufacturer says that the additional 32 megs increases performance by 16-20% over 32 meg cards. The price seems good...but is it worth it? Some opinions would be appreciated.

Id say you are better off spending the extra $$ on a gts since the extra memory bandwith will do alot more than 32 mb of ecces ram.

Given MX's bandwidth, using AGP texturing instead of the extra 32MB memory should make little difference (for most apps, which hardly transgress the first 32mb).

I too am looking at such a card, an Inno3D with TwinView (dual VGA this time) and 64MB. Figure that the extra 32MB of RAM will get a little more use since I'll be flexing two displays. Besides, the price difference is $20 to $30 right now. Who knows how soon that extra cushion of RAM could become important.

The extra 32MB will give you extra performance boost when your texture size is larger then 32MB.. which I should say that's not a very common situation. so compare to the same MX board with 32MB RAM, both will performance the same until the texture size is bigger then 32MB.

might as well save some money by going with the standard 32MB MX.
