64MB better than 128MB (GF4 Ti4200)

I was in Best Buy yesterday and a noticed that there were 2 Ti4200s. One with 64MB and the other with 128. 128MB i was a visiontek and the 64 was a PNY and on the PNY box it said that the 64MB version "crushed" the 128MB version. Then I noticed that the 64MB was clocked at 500mhz. Is the "crushing" just due to a higher clock speed? Can a visiontek w/ the 128 hit similar speeds?
thanks,

the 64s are slightly faster than the 128s, but newer games with larger textures will probably take advantage from the 128s. currently though, i'd say the 64s are better. if you're gonna get one, get a gainward 4200 with 3.5 ns RAM.

You could try OCing the 128MB version. Several, including the Gainward 128MB Ti4200 can, most likely, hit effective 500MHz memory.
