I'm tempted but I have about more than I need. Now, if there are deals, I'd just rather get Intels.

At that price, every new computer should have an ssd. The only ones that can argue against it are laptops with only 1 hard drive slot. But even with those you can get an intel 40gb 310 msata ssd (it plugs into the pci express slot) which cost $99.99 on newegg. Samsung is releasing some msata ssds as well.

Just got the ad in the mail for 7/25-8/14 online deals:

*64GB Kingston V100
*External 2.5" Case
*Clone Disk software to migrate drives
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...rodid=11613187

Says 64.99 after $60 in savings (no rebate?)

128 and 256GB will also be on sale.

As always, non-members can purchase with a 5% surcharge

No rebates, 99% sure. Good deal if you were debating to use SSD. To be honest, I have my 64GB for a year now and I haven't bother to install it in my laptop or any PC >.>' One of these days, I'll get around to it :)

Now if only the closest Costco wasn't 2+ hours drive away.....
If you have a fry's nearby, then they will price match this internet price since they have the same product and they now price match internet pricing.

1) Only buts to the price matching is they will charge whatever shipping cost for the 3-X day option.
2) They will also charge you the 5% member surcharge.
3) Remember you also pay whatever local tax is.

Print out your shopping cart at home for the costco page, print out the frys.com page, highlight the model numbers on both, and then go to the Components desk, ask for a Supervisor (please do not waste a salesperson time since only Sups can price match and they will not make any commission on the sale due to the PM) and tell them you want this SSD and you want to pricematch and show them your paperwork.

It the past it has appeared to me that costco online and the stores themselves have different inventory selection on electronics.

Keep in mind that Costco always charges your state's sales tax and usually charges a substantial shipping fee. Some items ship free, but the OP's alert doesn't specify.

On the plus side, you can return opened and used electronics to any Costco store within 90 days for a full refund, no questions asked.

PingSpike is correct, the in-store and online inventories for electronics are different, although there is some overlap. It's very unlikely that the Kingston SSD will be carried in the stores. Costco often acts as an online liquidator for discontinued electronics. For example, Costco liquidated a batch of 4x6 Wacom Intuos3 tablets about six months after they had disappeared from every other retailer.

**SIGH**
Unfortunately, the "local" Frys is about the same distance!

Really sucks, living in a city of 100,000+ people, and dealing with a lack of B&M stores like these. Hell, my "local" OfficeMax is a couple hours away, Staples is an hour away, etc. Only thing that's close is a Sam's Club, a few Super Walmarts, Office Depot, and Target.

Fried (SF Bay Area) Ad currently has the unit for $60 AR ($50 Rebate.)
Not sure if it's just bare drive or kit.

FYI, the product page says shipping and handling is included. I ran through the order process and shipping was free. As expected, there was tax.
