Anything Rakuten sells I pass on. After I used them my credit card was comprimised. Was never an issue when it was Buy.Com and maybe they dont use someones credit card a few weeks later why chance it.

Also why would one go away from the name Buy.com for Rakuten is beyond me?

They might as well shut down and start a new site never going back.

They did it because they were bought out by Rakuten. Rakuten is one of the worlds largest on-line retailers. They are a 1st class company.

It doesn't matter whether Rakuten is one of the largest retailers in the world or not. It's just so idiotic move by Rakuten to let go of Buy.com name that may be one of the best domain names in the world (and probably the most valuable asset from Buy.com). Even my Japanese friends don't understand why Rakuten is pushing Rakuten name in US rather than keeping well-established Buy.com name.

A first class company?

Hardly. They're allowing non-stop fraud to go on through their storefront.
