64bit XP Nvidia Drivers don't support SLI!!!!

Picture quality sucks compared to my 32bit XP with 76.41 extreme G drivers...

Anyone got 64bit drivers that work with SLI?

Don't ya mean the game(s) doesnt' support 64-bit? Anyway, the time for 64bit Windows
is way down the road to become of any use. Programs have to be re written(compiled) to work in a 64 bit environment don't they? And is 64 bit XP available for sale yet? Because on the Microsoft website, it says "Windows XP x64 edition. Coming soon to a PC near you." Link
So you must be a beta tester? Or have a bootleg from bit torrent.

No, I just meant, I know that 64bit software/drivers/apps aren't really there yet, and it's not as good as running a 32bit OS now....

But I have this running on a 2nd extra hard drive, so it's not affecting my normal setup

Just kinda fun to play with.....

Need to find that 64bit Far Cry....but the Nvidia Drivers from their site are so lousy they won't even make it through a 3Dmark 05 test.

You work for Microsoft and this is how you represent? If x64 Windows is not ready yet, what makes you think SLI drivers should be? Your thread is FUD.

If I remember correctly, Microsoft released a free one year version of XP 64bit quite a while ago so developers could work on drivers and members of the public who wanted to try it could report bugs/incompatabilities.

Apparently Nvidia hasn't gotten around to getting SLI working in their 64bit driver. What's so horrible about asking if anybody else has gotten SLI to work?

I don't really feel like debating anything with anyone right now. Until x64 is officially released, I don't want to hear about that things don't work with it. It's premature. Nvidia is working on 90 series drivers and I think you know this. And I'm sure ATI is working on their AMR support for it as well as countless other software companies. The OP's thread title pissed me off, not him asking if anybody got SLI to work in 64 bit windows.

Actually, I just read about the 90 series drivers supposedly support XP64 SLI only a few minutes ago. I didn't even think about SLI in 64bit until the OP created this thread, so I went Googling for info.

Gotcha. My apologies as I thought you already knew. But you can see that the 90 series will address x64 windows. Whether it works well or not? No idea, but it is in the works.

But for some of us it is already released. I can download the releaseversion from msdn.microsoft.com at my leisure. (the ISO was posted 3/29/2005 1:13PM, size is 558.62MB -- Windows 2003 Server was also posted the same day)

Just because you want to wait for the CDs to be pressed and the manuals printed, why should the rest of us? 😉

I, for one, have never heard of such a thing either. And I usually hear of everything 😀

What I find funny is, NV fans touted that NV had 64-bit drivers before ATi. And how much better NV was for this. Yet they dont support SLI. And now some of the same people are downplaying XP-64, when before it was such a big thing. Around, and around we go.

Unreleased OSs are even less important than Windows 2000 compatibility Ackmed-it's just hard to get too worked up over things not working with beta software?

I don't know that I remember anyone touting 64 bit drivers, but it's sort of a moot point for now. 🙂

But WinXP 64 suppose to be able to run both 32bit and 64bit apps... As far as I know, performance hit running 32bit programs in Win64bit is close to nil. The drop in gaming performance we see is only down to the unoptimised 64bit directx and 64bit graphic card driver
