64bit Windows 7, not using all 32GB of RAM

My dad's Windows 7 machine doesn't seem to be using all the RAM on the board (RIVE/3930K/32GB GEIL). Long word documents and excel spreadsheet halt and buffer out of memory on scrolling.

Windows and the BIOS see all 32GB, it's 64 Bit Windows 7.

When you look at memory management it shows only like 5-10% RAM ever being used.

Thanks

If it's Win 7 Home Premium then the limit is 16gb but you probably know that already and that is probably not the case.

Since at least 2010, Office comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The 32-bit version is usually the default; any apps that rely on Office integration features will likely not work with the 64-bit versions. That said, the 32-bit versions are going to be limited to 2 GB of memory. If you need more, you might try switching to the 64-bit version.

But is that Office Standard, or Office Professional? I had thought that only Office Professional came with 64-bit versions.
