Hi
I am interested to know that in about how much time will 64bit applications be commonly around?Intel gives 32bit processors like 3.0c at 10.5k which is about the same cost as Amd 3000 64 at 11k but is much better.
2.8c=AMd 3200 32
I also want to now whether Asus K8V is highly oc?Can it oc an AMD 3000 64 from 2ghz to 2.4 or 2.5ghz?

Uh. A 3.0C at stock is not better than a AMD 64 3000+ at stock. They are about on par. It depends on what you are doing with it. Windows 64 is coming out at the end of the year and that will mark the beginning of the 64bit push for all Windows programs and games. It will probably be six months after that that we really see a lot of mainstream applications offer 64bit.

Of course Linux is already up and running at 64bit if you so choose

if you get the Newcastle CG core on the AMD64 3000+ and get a pci/agp locked motherboard and watercooled it with a motherboard that had higher voltages I would say you could get to 2400. Possibly. Overclocking is a crapshoot.

Remember a 200Mghrtz jump in a AMD64 processor is a much bigger jump than a 200Mghrtz jump in a P4 processor
