64bit PCI question

I am building a system with RAID 0+1. How much of a performance increase would one expect with a RAID card that supports the 64bit bus as opposed to a regular 32bit bus?

Thanks.

hehe none... unless your RAID setup can crank out some incredibly impressive numbers :)

A 32-bit/33MHz PCI slot allows 133MB/s of throughput. A 64-bit/33MHz slot allows 266MB/s. A 64-bit/66Mhz allows 533MB/s.

If the hard drives are the same, add up all the burst transfer rates and divide by two. If the number is greater than 133, then to see the best performance you should move to a motherboard with 64-bit slots. If the number is less than 133, then you won't see any performance limitations.

OK. Here is what I am planning.

Promise FastTrak TX2000
Supports ATA133
Supports 66mhz PCI bus
It's 32bit card at 66MHz so it allows 266 MB/s

4x Maxtor D740x drives. 6L040J2. 40gb ATA133 drives 7200RPM
DataTransfer speed.
To/From interface 133
To/From Media 54.2
Sustained at OD 44.4
Sustained at ID 24.2
I don't know what these numbers mean.

The real question is I am deciding between the Asus 27m266-d which has the 64bit bus or some other motherboard. I can't find a single processor motherboard with a 64 bit bus.

Opinions.
Thanks to 454Casull and Haribo for the help thus far.
