Your existing PSU will be fine for any AGP card out there that you choose, including that x850.

As for installing it and the cords and all, just look closely at the way the current one is installed, slowly remove it, then replace it with the new card and replug in the power cable. It is very simple to do, but if you feel uncomfortable, you could always have a friend or computer store do it for you.

I can easily handle that, it was just that I was unsure if that was the same cord/right cord for any new agp card. I've heard about 6-pin crap and ppl having to get new psu's or some crap. That's probably just w/ new pci-e cards i'm assuming though.

I think for now I'm going to go with this route. I don't see myself spending 400++ on a new gpu w/ a new computer and it would suck to buy a new xp cd and then buy vista 6+ months later. I just need to confirm that I will be able to run company of heroes with 1 gig ram on multiplayer.

When going for let's say... a C2D 6400 OC'ed to 400FSB and a top of the end graphics card (nV 8800GTS) with 2GB RAM, would 800Mhz DDR2 RAM make alot of difference compared to 667Mhz DDR2 RAM?
Prices at my store:
- CORSAIR TWINX Matched DDR2 2048MB (2x1024MB) 667Mhz XMS5400 HSP - ?309,00
- CORSAIR TWINX Matched DDR2 2048MB (2x1024MB) 800Mhz XMS6400 HSP - ?349,00

Are those 50 bucks worth it or wouldn't I see any difference at all?

Those who suggest waiting for Vista need to read Vista's new licensing agreement. You'll only be able to transfer it once before you're forced to buy a new copy. That's only one motherboard replacement or upgrade. With a retail version of XP you can upgrade an unlimited amount of times. Don't buy Vista until you absolutely have to. I don't plan on getting it now until most games require Directx 10.
