64 Minidumps... pc crashes too often

So I've had this computer for about 6 months now. Had 64 minidrumps created, way too many system failures... and also in my c: drive there seem to be a growing number of folders called FOUND.000 through FOUND.022 with FILE0000.CHK and FILE0001.CHK in each folder...

Anyone know how to read minidumps or have any information on those folders?

System is as follows if this helps:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
MSI K8N Neo Platinum
Geil PC3200 512mb
BFG GeForce 6800GT
Antec TrueBlue 480w PSU
Seagate Baracuda 120gb 7,200 RPM
Standard CD-RW (pretty old though)

Thanks in adavance.

the files are lost clusters recovered from when you crashed. you can attempt to view them but most likely any info in them is useless and can be deleated.

the bsods are harder but probably will improve if you.
1) do a thorough scan for adware and virus.
2)try getting an application like reg cleaner and using it.
3)uninstall any unnessecary application.
4)uncheck any unnecessary startups.
5)uninstall and use latest sound and video drivers.
6)defrag your drive.

there are debuggers they are supposed to help you identify the exact problems but they are often too vague to be helpful.
If after a matter of time you still can not straigten out your system you could always start over.
main trick I would say is stay on top of things if any problems develop that are unusual one can always rewind system, uninstall problamatic software and hardware, regularly scour and maintain your system.

I have used 4 different Virus and Spyware applications, my main use Norton Internet Security 2005, and it finds nothing, same with everything else.

I defrag it every other week, and use Norton System Works to do mainanence on the drives... 2 games on there I don't use, so I'll uninstall those today and take a look at the startup.

The weird thing is is that the computer crashes at the most random of times, like minimizing a window, clicking the start button, alt+tabbing... really minor stuff, and it has crashed in games a few times.

Thanks for the suggestions!
