Apparently this was posted earlier by tomtnt: but a good deal always bears repeating... sorry for the double post.

Kingston has a $25 rebate on 64 MB Compactflash. ends 12/31. Buy.com has this for $109.95 - $20 coupon - $25 rebate = $64.95.

Rebate here

Don't forget the $5.20 shipping. For someone in California I estimated the price to be $76.71 (with tax and $70.51 without CA tax). I was trying to get the same card at Computers4Sure for $71.74 after all rebates and discounts but I am not sure if it will work...

One cautionary note. I think the Canon S-10 uses Smart Media and the new S-100 now uses more common Compact Flash. I am not sure, just going on memory. Worth checking before buying.

Nope it uses Compact Flash, All Canon's do. In fact I would love to get my hands on a MicroDrive. Now only the S10 and the S20 (maybe the S100 ElPH???) can use those not the older A50 or A5.

Unfortunately, the S100 Digital Elph cannot use the IBM microdrive b/c it can take only Compact Flash type I cards, and the Microdrive is a CF Type II card. Only the S10 and S20 can take advantage of the Microdrive.

On a side note, buy.com is selling the Microdrive for $254.95. Pricematch with Staples and use that $40 off coupon for a great price on 340MB of picture storage!! :D

besides, i'm starting to have serious doubts about buy.com, I've been trying to buy this ram for the past hour (AFTER SEEING tomtnt'S POST!) and I keep getting a "internal server error" when I go to check out. When I call Buy.com all i get is a busy signal!

i've heard microdrives aren't all that reliable. w/in 9 months or something, they fail.

Besides, the s10 is a battery hog, you'd need a couple spare batteries to take up all that space. I'd rather just have a 64MB CF. The quality at 1600x1200@fine quality is AMAZING. i have an 8x10 is very nice. I just wish I could have gotten the OM deal :|

Sorry about the misinformation I posted on media type above, I must be getting to the point in life that I should NOT rely on my memory.

FYI, you can get Lexar CF 64MB at buy.com for around $75. Use $30 coupon first, then there is $40 MIR.
You've to use Lexar CF for your Nikon.

you're right, i don't know you, so how am i suppose to know if you copied tomtnt's post or not? I don't know if you're the kind of person that would do that or not.

when the subject says "FOR YOUR CANON S-10'S!" i assumed you had read the Canon S10 thread and posted it without giving credit to the original person who posted it.
