how can you tell if ur running a 64 bit version of win xp?

are all versions of xp 64 bit?

what are some of the advantages of having a 64 bit os?

64bit windows xp is currently in development for the amd64 processor. all current version of xp are 32bit, just like all the processors that run them.

Unless you have an Intel Itanium processor (and you would know if you had one), you are running the 32-bit version of Windows XP.

The current 64-bit version of Windows XP supports the Intel Itanium and Itanium2 processors only.

The 64-bit version of Windows XP for the Opteron/Athlon 64 has not been released.
