I just ordered my new parts for my new PC, Core 2 Duo E6750, 8800GTS, 2GB DDR2, its gonna be very nice (and the price wasn't to bad either). I have not built a PC since the P4 Prescott days (my current build is a p4 2.8ghz prescott). I noticed that the E6750 has 64 bit capabilities and I was wondering if I should install Windows XP Pro 64 bit or regular 32 bit? Would it be harder to install drivers and such with 64 bit, and would I get better or worse performance?

it won't hurt, but likely you won't see much benefit. If you had 4GB of RAM, there would be some benefit, but with 2GB there's isn't.

if you just run regular mainstream software -most of it doesn't existing in 64-bit version.

I'd go with the 64 bit version, simply because it gives you the option of adding another 2 GB of RAM without re-installing the OS.
