Will Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit for System Builders work with the system components I have listed below?

A friend of mine built this system and I?m looking to upgrade to Ultimate, but want to make sure 64-bit will work with this system.

Yes, 64bit is just like 32bit in terms of component compatibility, only you need a different flavour of drivers- which all the big companies have anyway.

Is it worth looking into, or am I better sticking with XP or Ultimate 32 bit?
I am running XP pro now and I don't want to have problems with my programs later down the line.

thanks for the reply
