64 bit Nero? What OS?

And thats gonna speed up my burning how exactly? Besides, they don't exactly say a 64bit Nero.. they simply say SUPPORT for the AMD64

I believe that's their encoding package. HT support included in this too.

it should be interesting to see the 64 bit change once i get my WinXP 64 setup going.

The mere fact that is an update, and available now, should indicate that the software is still 32-bit. Nero would have to be totally recompiled as 64-bit software and could not be run as an update, but installed fresh. As was said, all this probably is stating that it supports AMDs 64-bit processors. The software is certainly not a 64-bit codebase.

It may just have a replacement 64-bit codec for the encoding portion of the suite. The rest of the suite probably doesn't benefit much from using 64-bit extensions.
