Could someone provide some guidance on getting this setup to work. I have the latest BIOS on BX6. I left the slotket jumpers on default setting (should I leave the Coppermine 256K jumper installed even if this is a Coppermine 128K?). The Soft Menu setting are left in the default positions for the current processor (400 Cel, 2.0V). I even tried clearing the CMOS prior to installing the 633. When reinstalling the 400 Cel it took several reinserts and CMOS clears to get it to boot. Am I missing something? The problem with reinstalling the old processor is making me think I have a contact problem with the socket. Are my BIOS and slotket settings OK?

I had problems with the slocket apparently not making good contact in the slot with my BX6, MS6905, CII566 and Pep66. I built a spring loaded harness to hold the slocket in place but I still don't have confidence in the rig. The whole thing is too heavy. Wish the perfect bracket was available. I even put my CPU under my pillow when I went to bed at night, but the "Bracket fairy" never came -- :frown:

I've got a BH6 and a MS-6905 (Rev 2.3) slocket and a Celeron 633.

I used the jumpers on the MS-6905 to set at 1.8V. Left jumper J1 (short) for auto select FSB.
I left J3 (The Coppermine Jumper) open....so far still running at 950MHz...haven't run any
torture test yet though.
